We were delighted to receive a delegation from the Czech Republic led by their Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa who is accompanied by 12 Czech manufacturing companies in Health.

This follows the recently held EU/ Zambia business forum in Lusaka and our latest trip to Brussels where we addressed the European Union parliament.

According to the Czech Republic delegation, their Government will support Zambia to set up a centre of excellence in health. While their businesses want to set up drug manufacturing plants as joint ventures.

They are further interested in joint venture partnerships with our citizens in the field of agriculture and manufacturing which will create sustainable jobs for our citizens.

With the looming global food crisis, we are positioning our country to be one of the key producers of food, especially that we are endowed with good soils and weather conditions suitable for agriculture.

We hope that both the private and public sector can rise to the various business opportunities that will start coming into the country.

Let us work together, create jobs and build our economy .
